Skid Row is a heavy metal band that was formed in New Jersey in 1986 by bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarist Dave the snake Sabo. They added guitarist Scotti Hill, drummer Rob Affuso, and vocalist Sebastian Bach (who replaced the original singer Matt Fallan) to the group by 1987. At this time they were playing in clubs around the U.S. Jon Bon Jovi helped Sabo secure a record deal with Atlantic and in 1989 Skid Row released their debut album, Skid Row and it became an immediate success!
