What does Ron Prince have in store for 2008? Can he get his Wildcats to continue the improvement they've shown and rise to the top of the Big 12? If so, he will be riding the arm of quarterback Josh Freeman. After a rocky 2006, Freeman came on strong last season and is looking for even better things in 2008. Joining Freeman in the Wildcats explosive offense is receiver Deon Murphy. These two have the makings of forming one of the more prolific tandems in the Big 12. On the defensive side of the ball, K-State is led by defensive end Ian Campbell. The senior was a All-Big 12 selection last season and looks to be even more imposing in 2008. If the Wildcats can find some stability in the secondary, their defensive squad should be fairly imposing against their Big 12 opponents. If the offense continues to improve and the defense can build off of the strength of their defensive line, the Wildcats should be in position to challenge the top teams in the Big 12 and make a return to a post-season bowl game.
