Tom Izzo is considered one of the better coaches in Division 1 and rightfully so. After last year's surprisingly successful season, Coach Izzo enters the 2007-08 season with a roster bubbling with talent. If he can win with an undermanned squad, how will he do when his team is at full strength and has lots of quality players? Well, Michigan State fans, it's a little too early to start packing for the Final Four but the Spartans have as good of a chance of getting there as does any other team.

Leading this year's version is, of course, shooting guard Drew Neitzel. Neitzel should be a prime candidate for Big Ten player of the year and is one of the better guards in the country. However, MSU fans don't have to worry about Neitzel tiring as the season wears on because of incoming freshman class signed by Coach Izzo: a group of guards that are as talented as any in the country. These 3, Chris Allen, Durrell Summers and Kalin Lucas, should be just what's needed to keep Neitzel fresh until March rolls around.

Another player of note, Raymar Morgan, is also on the roster and is looking for a big sophomore season. When you add the presence of a deep frontline that's also tall and athletic, you can see why the expectations are high surrounding the Spartans.
