Maryland Terrapins
It's been a tougher run for Coach Gary Williams since he guided Maryland to the National Championship in 2002. This year may prove to be more of the same as the Terrapins look to overcome the losses of .J. Strawberry and Mike Jones. Fortunately, Coach Williams recruited some talented players and is quite capable of fielding a competitive ACC team.

Leading the way for the new-look Terrapins will be Greivis Vasquez and James Gist for some valuable experience in both the backcourt and the frontcourt. These accomplished veterans will need to be guides for the Terrapins as they navigate a tough ACC. Maryland will also be depending on some incoming players for productivity. These recruits, Braxton Dupree, Adrian Bowie and Shane Walker, will be asked to fill some big shoes.

The success of the 2007-08 Terrapins will depend largely on how the new guys come along. If they can adjust to the college game will little trouble, Maryland will be a hard match-up for anyone on their schedule. If, however, they happen to hit a roadblock, it could be a long season.
