In light of the Tony Romo’s pinkie and the Pacman Jones suspension announcement, the Dallas Cowboys needed some good news to balance all that out and so, they traded for Roy Williams. Besides giving Brad Johnson and Tony Romo another target, the move allowed Jerry Jones to consolidate the different Roy Williamses onto one team.
The Cowboys had to part with some draft picks in order to acquire the receiver, sending Detroit a first rounder, a third round and a sixth round pick. The picks will be available in the 2009 draft.
