Brandon Jennings Is Oh-for-One
Brandon Jennings’ infamous interview with with rapper Joe Budden is the subject of much fallout today, thanks, in large part, to Jennings’ liberal use of a certain word that begins with the letter “n.” To prove Jennings uses equal opportunity slang, he refers to his coach Scott Skiles and the New York Knicks basketball team with the same noun. Uncomfortable slang aside, for those of you keeping score of Jennings’ ability to prognosticate, you now have a result to tally.
According to Jennings, his new team, the Milwaukee Bucks, would be using there finances to sign Charlie Villanueva instead of Ramon Sessions, a guard who could cut into Jennings’ playing time. Um, Brandon? You were saying?
The Milwaukee Bucks have made qualifying offers to restricted free agents Ramon Sessions and Ersan Ilyasova, but will not make an offer to Charlie Villanueva.
Bucks general manager John Hammond said Monday the offers to Sessions and Ilyasova give them the right to match contract offers from other teams. Villanueva will be free to sign with any team.
Apparently, if you want to use Jennings has a barometer for the Bucks, just take what he says and go with the exact opposite — at least for now.
