LeBron

It really is LeBron’s world. We are all just living in it. What else would explain doing a spin-off of Jack Bauer’s show, 24, focusing solely on LeBron James? I mean, they aren’t even making him serve as an understudy to Jack before they roll him out against terrorists trying to attack the United States. Wait, what? You mean this is for his birthday celebration and he’s not joining the cast of 24?

That’s right, the folks at NBA TV and NBA.com are giving us 24 hours of LeBron James to celebrate the King’s 24th birthday, ironically enough. The event takes place on December 30th, which happens to coincide with the day James was born. Funny how that works. Anyway, LeBron fans will be able to overdose on all things related to the Chosen One (for what, besides electrifying basketball fans, as yet to be determined).

In another neat move for LeBron fans, the NBA is actually giving fans two full days of the celebration with the festivities kicking off at 1pm on the 29th and running all the way through to the Cavaliers/Heat matchup, which starts at 7:30pm the following day. If I’m not mistaken, 1pm to 1pm the following day is considered 24 hours. Adding 6-and-a-half more hours, plus a 3-hour basketball game exceeds the 24-hour limit, but who am I to complain?

By the way, he only took ONE DRIBBLE after he stole the ball and before he jumped — after getting the ball on the defensive side of the half-court line. He didn’t travel either.

Is that even fair?
