Stephen Strasburg: Believe the Hype

Sometimes, the hype for an upcoming event, debut, what have you, is so high, there’s just no way to live up to the expectations. And then there’s the debut of Stephen Strasburg. Not only did he meet expectations, the Washington Nationals phenom probably exceeded them. If not, he came pretty damn close. What else would you call a first game ever stat line like this?

The words “awesome,” “savior,” and “ridiculous” come to mind.
Get it while it’s hot because considering the MLB’s iron-clad rule over their highlights, it probably won’t last too long.
Oh, one last thing: tickets for games Strasburg is scheduled to pitch are going to be a hard commodity to come by, especially if he continues to impress like he did against the Pittsburgh Pirates. If you really want to jump on the Strasburg train and follow his further exploits, don’t let “Sold Out” signs dissuade you.
