The final college football poll is out and unlike years past, the Associated Press agrees with the BCS. What’s surprising is the respectable showing by the Big 12, who finishes with four teams in the Top 10 (Oklahoma?). Check it out:

1. LSU (60) 12-2
2. Georgia (3) 11-2
3. USC (1) 11-2
4. Missouri 12-2
5. Ohio State 11-2
6. West Virginia 11-2
7. Kansas (1) 12-1
8. Oklahoma 11-3
9. Virginia Tech 11-3
10. Texas 10-3

So who was the lone reporter to vote Kansas as the top team, I wonder? Does Joe Posnanski have a vote? The rest of the Top 25 looks like this:

10. Boston College 11-3
12. Tennessee 10-4
13. Florida 9-4
14. Brigham Young 11-2
15. Auburn 9-4
16. Arizona State 10-3
17. Cincinnati 10-3
18. Michigan 9-4
19. Hawaii 12-1
20. Illinois 9-4
21. Clemson 9-4
22. Texas Tech 9-4
23. Oregon 9-4
24. Wisconsin 9-4
25. Oregon State 9-4

Boston College with a number 10 before their name is not a misprint. They tied Texas with 962 points. Well folks. There you have it. Your college football season in a nutshell. Agree? Disagree? Do you think that even though they lifted the BCS Trophy, LSU deserves the top spot? I would imagine she does:
