While most in the media want to focus on stuff like Tim Tebow and Sam Bradford — of all things — when it comes to the BCS Championship game, I think we all know what’s really important. Well, to the sports blogosphere anyway:

The hotness factor of each team’s fans and cheerleaders. Because Gunaxin was so thoroughly great with fan pictures of both teams, why not focus on the respective cheerleading squads?

So that’s what we did. After the jump, we have various images of cheerleading beauty for you to sieve through. Please, take your time and enjoy the view; but stop one second and ask yourself: What would football be like if the team with the hottest cheerleaders won? Would anybody watch the football action on the field?

Let’s start with Florida, seeing how they are currently the favored team.

That’s a good cross-section of Florida’s spirit department, and just think, we didn’t even include the fans, who, in a lot of cases, actually outdo the cheerleaders. Besides, you can only look at drunk co-eds making out and posing for provocative MySpace pictures for so long without losing control.

With that in mind, time to switch focus to the Oklahoma Sooners cheerleaders.

Now that should be enough Gator/Sooner eye candy to keep you occupied for the next few minutes, anyway. I doubt it will tide you over until January 8th, but you can blame college football for that. Not these fine ladies.And yes, they are quite fine indeed — but if you only had to pick one squad, who would get the nod?

Don’t fret too much over your answer because you can’t go wrong with either selection.
