And Then There Were Two
After the removal of North Carolina and UCLA from the Final Four festivities, there are two remaining: the Kansas Jayhawks and the Memphis Tigers. Memphis ran the Bruins out of their game with some brilliant play from Derrick Rose and Chris Douglas-Roberts, while Kansas exorcised the demons of Roy Williams in an odd game against his Tarheels.
I’m also happy to report I missed the final score of Memphis/UCLA by four points; making me a good person to have when you are in Vegas discussing potential investments with various sports books. My call – 75-62. Actual final – 78-63. In other news, while I got the Kansas call correct, I don’t think anyone expected the type of game we saw.
I mean, how many of you thought Kansas would be up by 22 points in the first half only to see the Tarheels battle back to within 4 — only to lose by 18. Like I said, it was an odd game made up of some impressive runs.
Anyway, that sets the table for tonight’s game. Who ya got? Mull that over for a while and we’ll be back later with our preview post.
