Ron White a.k.a. Tater Salad is best known as a cigar smoking, scotch drinking funny guy from the "Blue Collar Comedy". He is a stand-up comedian that performed with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy in the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour".

White is a storyteller and has always been since he was a boy in Texas. He lived the life as a struggling comedian for 20 years going from comedy club to comedy club. He made his solo debut album, "Drunk in Public" in November 2003. The comedy CD has been in the Top 10 of the Billboard Comedy Charts since February 2004. He had his first one hour comedy special in 2004, "They Call Me Tater Salad". This special earned Comedy Central the highest rated Sunday in history. His DVD of the special sold 1.3 million copies and has been certified multi-platinum.

"The Ron White Show" aired on WB in April 2005 and had 4 million viewers. This show helped the network to one of its best Thursday nights of the season. "You Can't Fix Stupid" his second one hour special was filmed in January 2006 in Dallas, Texas. The special aired on Comedy Central and had 4.5 million viewers to make it the third largest audience in Comedy Central's history and the number one show in prime time on basic cable. In February 2006 the comedy CD of "You Can't Fix Stupid" was released and was number 14 on Billboard's Top 200.

In June 2006, Ron 'Tater Salad' White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent.But I Didn't Have the Ability was released by Penguin Books. This book sums up White's life and his comedy. White also reunited with the Blue Collar Boys for the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour, One for the Road".

White has made appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. White lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife.
