Nickelback was founded in 1995 as a post-grunge rock band. The band hails from Hanna, Alberta, but is now based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Nickelback's second album, "The State" put them in to the mainstream with two Top 10 hits. Their 2002 hit "How You Remind Me" made them stars! They released the album, "Silver Side Up" in 2001.

Nickeback has received six Juno awards and were nominated for five more in 2006. Their single "Photograph" was nominated for best single.

Chad Kroeger is the lead vocalist and guitar player. Ryan Peake is on guitar and back-up vocals, Mike Kroeger is the bass guitarist, and Daniel Adair is on drums and back-up vocals.

Their music is based on romance, the loss or gain, or on the transition between love and loss of love in relationships. They released "All the Right Reasons" in 2005.
